Agua Verde is a small, local mexican cafe located on Lake Union near the University of Washington. If you are ever in the University District, this is the place to try if you enjoy Mexican cuisine. They offer great food, a casual atmosphere, and great views of Lake Union. This is the ideal lunch spot for a quick lunch, or anybody who is looking for a place to sit and chat.
My favorite part of coming to this restaurant is ordering a basket of tortilla chips and accompanying them with their fresh home-made salsas. In addition to their great food menu, that also serve refreshing margaritas and imported beers.
Agua Verde also offers various menu options for those of us who do not consume meat. This specifically is the the Burrito Vegetariano which served with sauteéd yams, onion and peppers with rice, pintos, spinach and jack cheese.
In addition to the the great food, their prices are also very reasonable. Their lunch option range anywhere from $3.75 for a simple cheese quesadilla to $8.75 for a delicious and filling beef/pork/chicken burrito. However, my personal favorite is the El Patron Torta (sandwich) which is served on a toasted baguette complimented with a perfectly seasoned piece of grilled chicken breast, cucumbers, tomato, red onion, lettuce, cilantro, and avocado sauce.
